Effective September 7, 2026. This policy explains what Barrel and Beacon, LLC ("Barrel & Beacon", "we", "us"), a limited liability company based in Fishers, Indiana, collects when you use barrelandbeacon.com and how we handle it. We keep this short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Nothing automatically that identifies you. This site sets no cookies and has no login or forms. Our analytics tool, GoatCounter, counts page views without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without storing personal data. It records the page visited, the referring site, your browser type, screen size, and country, in aggregate.
- What you send us. If you email hello@barrelandbeacon.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to work with you.
- Booking details. Calls are scheduled through Zcal. When you book, Zcal collects your name, email, and the time you choose, and shares them with us so we can hold the call. Zcal's own privacy policy governs its handling of that data.
- Newsletter. Off-Invoice is delivered through Beehiiv. If you subscribe, Beehiiv stores your email address and delivery statistics under its own privacy policy. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.
- Client work. If you become a client, we handle your business data under the written agreement for that engagement, not under this website policy.
How we use it
To answer you, to schedule and hold calls, to deliver the newsletter you asked for, to run and improve this site, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to the reason you gave it to us.
Services we rely on
- Netlify hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and operations.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which may log the request.
- GoatCounter provides cookieless analytics.
- Zcal handles call booking. Beehiiv handles the newsletter.
Each of these providers processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Sample data on this site
Foxglen Bourbon Co. is a fictional brand created to demonstrate our work. Every name, number, and email address shown in the demo, the sample dashboard, and the sample memo is invented. No real client data appears on this site.
Retention
We keep email correspondence and booking records for as long as we need them to work with you and to keep reasonable business records, then delete them. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@barrelandbeacon.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
